The up-and-coming horror series, Red Ghost Magazine, is seeking submissions to its first issue! We’re looking for stories, comics, poetry and art of creatures and cryptids, things that lurk in the dark from deep in the mountains to the most shadowy recesses of your own mind.
General submission guidelines
Must feature a creature!
No AI generated content whatsoever
No previously published content
All horror subgenres welcome
Splatter is fine but no CSA
Accompanying illustrations are welcome/encouraged!
writer submissions
Short stories: Maximum word count of 10,000 words
Flash fiction: Maximum word count of 1500 words
Poetry: Minimum of 3 stanzas, maximum of 20
Must be in docx or google doc format
Art & comics submissions
PNG or TIFF format, minimum of 300dpi resolution, CMYK color profile
Must take up at least one full page, comics capped at 5 pages
Images must be a minimum of 5.5x8.25 in with 0.125in bleed on all margins (total dimensions of 5.75x8.5 in).
Don't put any important details in the bleed areas!
